Release Day Review : Felony Ever After

Summary:

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen a cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

BETUL'S REVIEW

**Received ARC in exchange for an honest review**

"Sometimes white knights have tattoos, princess"

I signed up for an ARC before the blurb was released. I just knew I had to get my hands on this unique secret project. I had seen a couple of my favorite authors posting things about it and I just knew this book would be awesome. I was not wrong!!

"Don't put words in my mouth. Would you prefer something else?"

I will keep it general because I want you to go in blind and be surprised about the turn of events. I was expecting this story to go another route than it did. I just loved the way Verity and Hudson met, it was original and very funny. After the Taxi incident Verity doesn't know what to think of Hudson but she can't get him out of her mind.

I was laughing out loud a lot while I was reading this book. There were so many hilarious situations in which Verity got herself caught up in. Hudson was great and such a charmer. He was very mysterious and keeps us just like he did Verity guessing. He has a couple of surprises up his sleeves, very sexy ones! Don't make me forget about Verity's boss, you will be so creeped out by him.

"You're a total criminal, aren't you? Have I stolen your heart yet?"

I found Felony Ever After to be so refreshing to read. It was a pretty light and funny book with sexy scenes. The 13 authors did an amazing job in making the story flow really well. The only thing that was missing was Hudson's POV, I would've loved to read what he was thinking. However the authors did find a way for some of Hudson's thought to come across in an unconventional way.

"I swear you're determined to give me a Felony Ever After."

About Belle Aurora
Belle Aurora is twenty six years old and was born in the land down under.
At an early age she fell in love with reading. Boredom one summer had her scouring the bookshelves at home. She stumbled across Sandra Brown’s Breath of Scandal and fell in love with romance.
Having been brought up in a loud and boisterous family of Croatian descent, she developed a natural love for dramatics and humor. Only some years ago had she discovered a new love.
Humorous romance novels.
Kristen Ashley and R.L. Mathewson had opened a brand new world where she could lose herself yet feel safe and at home in their stories. Belle has been known to become a screeching banshee while anxiously awaiting their newest titles.
Belle never thought she would write. It had never interested her until recently. Friend-Zoned began to form and in February this year Belle typed the words Chapter One. And she fell in love.

About Debra
There are a lot of eyes in Debra Anastasia's house in Maryland. First, her own creepy peepers are there, staring at her computer screen. She's made two more sets of eyes with her body, and the kids they belong to are amazing. The poor husband is still looking at her after 17 years of marriage. At least he likes to laugh. Then the freaking dogs are looking at her—six eyeballs altogether, though the old dog is blind. And the cat watches her too, mostly while knocking stuff off the counter and doing that internal kitty laugh when Deb can't catch the items fast enough.

In between taking care of everything those eyes involve, Debra creates pretend people in her head and paints them on the giant, beautiful canvas of your imagination. What an amazing job that is. The stories hit her hard while driving the minivan or shaving her legs, especially when there's no paper and pen around. Within all of the lies she writes hides her heart, so thank you for letting it play in your mind.

Debra has written a smattering of books in a few genres. There are two paranormal romances in the Seraphim Series and now four contemporary romances in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood SeriesFire Down Below and Fire in the Hole, complete the Gynazule Comedy Series. The Revenger, a dark paranormal romance, is finally in the light, and the last, a novella called Late Night with Andres, is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. (So go get it right now, please!)
