Blog Tour + Giveaway: Beep and Osh Trilogy by Darynda Jones
The Beep & Osh Trilogy is a spinoff from the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling Charley Davidson series. All three books are outlined and the first book is well under way. There will naturally be laughs, mystery, and some rather explicit sexy times, so look forward to the spice.
Trilogy Blurb:
What happens when a girl born of two gods, a boy forged in the fires of hell, and a small army of both mundane and preternatural entities take on the bully in the basement?
A lot.
Elwyn Loehr, aka Beep, only wants two things in life: the stunning man who rescued her from certain death and a job. Sure, she was prophesied to take down her grandfather, aka Satan, in a great and terrible battle, but she’ll worry about all that supernatural stuff later. As far as she is concerned, normal is the new black.
What Elwyn doesn’t know is that she is more powerful and more lethal than anyone ever imagined. Enter Osh’ekiel. Osh has been watching over the hellion for years, keeping his distance, building his empire so he can keep tabs on the oligarchs who would stop at nothing to gain control of such a quintessential entity. But the vultures are circling and Osh is finding it harder and harder to keep her safe, especially when she stumbles into a job at his company. A job that could get her killed.
After Elwyn suffers through a series of the worst interviews in the history of ever, she lands a job at the newest, shiniest company in all of Albuquerque. Too bad she'll be too distracted to work. Her boss just happens to be the man of her dreams, the same man she's been pining over for years, the same man who doesn't seem particularly happy to see her.

Message from Darynda:
He followed her across the universe. This one and several others. Through light bright enough to evaporate souls. Through darkness thick enough to drown. He watched as she ran, jumping and giggling, trying to catch stardust in her tiny fists one minute, playing with alien butterflies the next.
And she grew. With every trek across a new plane, she grew. She matured. Her laugh deepened. Her smile widened. Curves appeared where there were none before. Over lips and hips and other delicate parts.
Over and over, he tried to catch her. Over and over, he failed. She was too fast. Too fluid, as though made of liquid. One that could transform into mist in the blink of an eye.
The first time he came close to catching her, she was being kept as an indentured servant in a distant galaxy. For having the audacity to be beautiful, she was bullied and shamed and abused. She played along, but why? She had matured physically, yes, but preternaturally as well. Her powers had multiplied a thousand times over. They pulsated out of her and into him like sunlight. Why would she allow herself to be treated with such cold vitriol when she was made of such warmth?
Just when he went to grab her, she dropped a tray of food, stumbled back, and fell through a departed, only to disappear yet again.
And he followed.
Yet again.
The second time he’d come close, he landed on a world where her image was everywhere. He found statues of her sculpted into the mountains. Marble monuments erected in her honor. She’d been loved. Worshipped. She was the daughter of two gods so it made sense, but he supposed even that would grow tiresome after a while. To his great disappointment, she’d fled the world years before he got there.
The third time, he fought monsters to get to her and managed to come close enough to slide his fingers around her painfully thin arm. Thankfully, she still wore the bracelet he gave her when she was a kid. The one he forged in hell, mixing his blood with gold so he could track her.
She scowled and gazed up at him, her dark amber eyes flashing with a moment of anger only to be replaced with curiosity when recognition set in. She studied him. Touched his face. Almost breathed his name. He wanted to pull her into his arms, to crush her against him, he was so relieved, but he didn’t dare break the spell. She rolled onto her toes. Tilted her head to look deeper into his eyes. Brushed a lock of hair off his forehead and her lips across his face. He stood frozen, not sure what to do, how to convince her to come back with him, but something in the distance caught her attention before he could even try.
Startled by whatever she saw, she wrenched her arm free and sprinted away from him to dart through yet another lost soul, a departed from times past—her favorite mode of transportation—but not before looking back at him. A quick glance over her shoulder, as though not sure what to think of the ragged entity who had followed her across time itself.
He could hardly blame her. What must he look like after all these years? A bottom dweller forged in the fires of hell. A demon, for all intents and purposes, created to track, to hunt with a bloodthirsty precision, so it only made sense the girl’s mother chose him to watch over her. He hadn’t thought much of it at the time. The powerful entity had given him a sip of her soul, just enough of her fierce essence to keep him satiated for a thousand years. To make sure he was up to the task should he need to be.
And then, out of nowhere, he needed to be.
When the woman’s daughter went missing at the age of five, it was him, powered by the most incendiary soul in the universe, who tracked the girl across worlds, across planes impossible for a mundane to comprehend. Where light could give life or be a living entity itself. Where a body of water could quench an entire city or roll onto land and devour it in one bite. He was never not surprised by what he found. The sentient beings of one world shared a single benevolent conscience while the creatures of another burst into flames before entering into battle. That one took some getting used to.
Every plane brought new challenges, but for once he was prepared. He’d planted the departed the girl disappeared into. It only took him how many years? No, not years. Not even decades. Despite her youthful appearance—and his—they’d been gone for centuries. He had no idea how much time had passed on Earth. Millennia, perhaps. Or maybe just a day.
She darted through the departed he’d convinced to help him, and he gave him a taste of her mother’s diminishing soul to stand there and let the girl rush through him. He could hardly afford to be drained of even a drop, but he didn’t have a choice. He was burning through the last remnants of the soul her mother gave him. He had to bring the hellion’s adventures to an end and fast.
And it worked. He followed her through the entity and landed in a crouch, balancing on the balls of his feet a few yards away from her. He glanced around the wooded area, unable to believe he’d succeeded. Or had he? Were they really back on Earth or just a planet eerily similar? It had happened before, but when he saw a hellhound stalking the girl as she swiped at her primitive clothes, its ears laid back, its teeth glistening in the low light, he knew they were right where they belonged. At long last. And her pet hellhounds were just as mischievous as ever.
A grin spread across her deceptively young face. She turned on the hound before it had a chance to pounce, wrapped her slender arms around its massive neck, and took it to the ground, laughing like kid wrestling with her siblings. It let out a playful groan, mourning its loss, as two more joined the fight.
He walked closer, but before he could announce his presence, a different kind of beast landed between them. As big as a building, it must have followed them through the portal as well. He sprinted forward, but the beast rose to its full height and stared down at her.
The hellhounds bared their teeth once again, this time circling the monstrous creature as the girl raised an index finger at the beast and wagged it side to side in warning. Then, without another thought, she turned and ran.
He watched her disappear into the forest, her gait smooth and strong, her footing as sure as a woodland nymph’s. He knew she wouldn’t try to escape to another plane again and his shoulders sagged in relief. It had been such a long journey, but he had little doubt he would see Elwyn Loehr again. That was enough to sustain him. For now.
