Blog Tour + Review: A Kiss for A Kiss by Helena Hunting

A Kiss for A Kiss, an all-new surprise baby, mature adult romance from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting is available now!

I’m Jake Masterson, single dad, and the General Manager of Seattle’s NHL team. I walked away from a career as a player so I could raise my daughter. For the last twenty-plus years, Queenie has been my main priority, but now she’s getting married.

And there’s a small complication.

A beautiful, sexy complication named Hanna.

She’s my son-in-law’s older sister. Or at least that’s how they were raised. The truth is a little more scandalous than that.

I’ve been drawn to her from the moment I laid eyes on her. And I spent months trying to keep a lid on that attraction.

Until we finally give in.

It starts with one searing kiss, but quickly ends with us between the sheets—and in the shower, and the hot tub, you get the picture—and turns into months of sneaking around.
Here’s the problem: we live on opposite ends of the country. It can’t be anything but casual. And as I’ve already said…it’s complicated.

But when Hanna finds out she’s pregnant…suddenly things get real serious.

A Kiss for a Kiss is a light and fast-paced contemporary romance featuring characters in their forties. Jake's daughter Queenie and Hannah's son Ryan, whose story was told in the previous book A Secret for a Secret, are getting married in the beginning of this book. Jake and Hannah have been communicating and spending a lot of time together planning the engagement party. The attraction was there from the start and they continued to dance around each other for months. So from one thing led to another and they found themselves not being able to resist each other any longer. Which resulted into a surprise pregnancy!

I am not the biggest fan of the surprise pregnancy trope, but I really liked it in this book. Jake and Hannah were mature and handled things the best they could. I enjoyed seeing them grow even closer together, and I loved how supportive Jake was. Things of course got a bit weird in the beginning, especially Hannah's son Ryan didn't know how to deal with it. But I really liked how his and Hannah's bond grew even stronger in this book. Queenie and Jake's relationship was amazing, and I just loved their unique and beautiful father/daughter bond. I also enjoyed seeing glimpses of Helena's other characters. This book was steamy, fun, romantic, funny and at times a bit emotional.
