Blog Tour + Review: RACER by Katy Evans
Racer, an all-new standalone in the Real Series from New York Times bestselling author Katy Evans is LIVE!
A bad boy with something to prove.
A woman with a mission.
The race of their lives.
The love of a lifetime.
I don’t think his parents expected him to live up to his name—Racer Tate—but once he felt the adrenaline rush behind the wheel, he was addicted.
He's the fastest, fiercest driver around.
Scouting new talent brings me to his doorstep...
but his smile sends me to my knees.
The sexy, mysterious Racer Tate is not the kind of man a girl like me falls for. He's secretive, reckless, elusive. But his proximity pushes me beyond reason, and his kiss....
This is our last chance to win, and he is our only hope. I'm supposed to watch him—make sure he doesn't get into trouble. But it's an impossible task. And now the one in heart wrenching, toe-curling, soul-crushing trouble is me. Because when your heart belongs to someone, their truths become your own, and their secrets become your salvation...or your curse.
He says he wants me. He says I'm the One. But he also thinks he'll break my heart, one piece at a time until it's gone.

"I don't know what it is about her, but from the moment I saw her I wanted to claim, conquer, and own."
What a long way this series has come. I met Remy back when the book was first published in 2013. Remy stole my heart back then and I am so happy that Katy Evans decided to give his son Racer his own story. It was amazing seeing how much Racer had in common with his father: he knows what he wants and isn't afraid of anything. He likes to go for what he wants. Racer was definitely an alpha, he was super protective and possessive of Lana. Normally that type of guys can get annoying really fast, but it just worked perfectly in this book. It wasn't always easy for Racer and Lana, but the way they cared for one another was just beautiful. I loved the way their relationship developed, even though there was this instant click from the start between the two. Nothing seemed forced in my opinion, Lana and Racer were into each other from the beginning but Lana was the one hesitating a bit.
"Can you love someone so hard that every part of your being feels it. Yes, my heart whispers."
Racer, like his dad, went head first into any situation. He was a daredevil, fearless and so freaking confident. I just loved that about him. It made me think of Remy, and has me wanting to reread his book after four years. I loved that he made appearances in this book, including all the other previous main characters from the Real series. It made me miss them, but I was glad to have a peek into their lives as well. The writing was great as always, I don't expect anything less from Katy. She did an incredible job in telling Racer and Lana's story, including their struggles. I really hope there will be more books in this series, because I don't want to say goodbye to all the characters yet. Racer was a great addition to this series and I want to thank Katy for giving us Racer, who went his own way without any fear.
