This is the first book I read by the authors. The religious cult aspect really piqued my interest when I read the description of this book. I didn't really know what to expect so I pretty much went in blind. Right away I was intrigued by Kiev the son of the cult leader. Kiev and his father are the polar opposites of each other. Kiev is back in the community to bring his father down, he wants revenge. He is a bad boy with tattoos and an attitude.

From the first moment Kiev and Audrey meet there is such an attraction between them. They just can't stay away from each other. Kiev first wants to use her to bring his father down, but eventually develops feelings for her. Audrey is a strong character, I expected her to be more scared and brainwashed but was really happy that wasn't the case. She doesn't blindly follow Father Weston.

I did think that Audrey fell in love pretty fast, so I would've wanted that to develop more slowly. There are a couple of scenes that will be hard for certain readers to read, I am used to dark romances so these scenes didn't really bother me that much. I enjoyed the writing and the plot but I wanted this book to be longer. It ended a bit too fast. However I did enjoy the epilogue!
