When a MMA fighter clashes wills with a sexy private investigator, the gloves come off…
Aiden “Disco Stick” Kruze walked away from it all—money, family, friends, and a successful career as a lawyer in Manhattan—to pursue his dream of being an MMA fighter. When a sexy private investigator shows up at Aiden’s gym, he mistakenly assumes she’s a cage-banging groupie.
Ryann is determined to haul Aiden back home. She’s desperate to claim the reward money that will pay off her father’s creditors before the man who killed her father comes to collect from her.
Aiden is done living his life under the microscope of being a senator’s son. He’s not going back to New York—ever—and there’s nothing this tenacious redhead can do about it. Or is there?
When the demons of Aiden’s past catch up with him, he realizes the lies, deception, and betrayal run deeper than he ever imagined. Aiden must put his career and his life on the line to save the woman who’s stolen his heart.

Author interview

1. What inspired you to become an author?

I was inspired to become an author after editing a friend’s book. I thought it looked like great fun to tell stories. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I get to fall in love over and over again.

2. What are your hopes for this release?

My dream for Passing His Guard is the same as for all my books, to hit the bestseller list. Win By Submission, the first book in this series, hit number one in Amazon’s Hot New Releases and placed in Top 100 on release day. My hope for Passing His Guard is that I’ll beat Win By Submissions numbers in sales.

3. A lot of authors I have noticed have music as a way to help with their writing. Is this something that you have used as well? If not what are some things you have used?

I never listen to music when I write. I need silence to focus which is often difficult to get. Distractions are my number one enemy.

4. What are your ambitions for your writing career?

To continue writing great romantic suspense stories that readers will love.

5. What genres would you like to have a book in?

I’ve written paranormal romance and I’m currently writing contemporary romantic suspense. I really enjoy that genre and plan to keep writing it as long as it continues doing well.

6. Is there a message you would like readers to get out of this book? What is it?

This is a story about sacrifice, and the lengths people will go to for the ones they love.

7. Where did your inspiration come from for this book?

As always, I’m forever inspired by the men and women of MMA. The training and discipline it takes to do what they do, and what they put their bodies through, never ceases to astound me.

8. Who are some of your favorite authors?

I love Monica McCarty. She’s written some of the best Highlander Romance I’ve ever read, and I really like Kresley Cole as far as paranormal goes. I don’t read nearly as much as I’d like to. When I’m not spending time with my family, I’m usually writing my own stories.

Top Ten list

1. What is your favorite color?

I have too many favorites to pick just one. But I’m particularly fond of yellow, orange and green.

2. Favorite holiday?

Christmas. I love everything about it.

3. Most embarrassing moment?

I don’t wanna talk about it… But I will say, it involved a wetsuit and a crowd of people.

4. Dream vacation?

Any place that has me in the sun, on a sandy beach, with the ocean lapping at my feet and a cup of coffee in my hand. I particularly love Maui.

5. Something unique about you?

It’s not especially unique, but I’m incredibly introvert.

6. What one food will you NOT eat?

Tuna. I detest everything about it. The smell, the texture, the taste. Yuck! I want to throw-up just thinking about it.

7. All-time favorite book?

I don’t have one. There are too many great ones to choose from.

8. Writing snack of choice?

M&M’s. They’re great for keeping me awake and focused. The chocolate, the sugar, the caffeine…Yum! It’s like the best snack ever.

9. Top hobby you do when not writing?

I love kayaking and bike riding with my family. Considering that I live in Minnesota, I should probably take up snowshoeing or something like that, but I hate the cold.

10. Favorite Animal?

That’s easy, my Chihuahua. He’s my little writing buddy.
